I've been doing some hardcore research and found out something which proves that Alan is either a fraud, or he just doesn't know what models were available in the Austin Montego range and was momentarily *flustered*.
In "Knowing Knowing Me, Knowing You" Alan states that he's rented a car and has put it on expenses. Then he utters the fateful words "it's a Montego GL". But there WASN'T a GL model in the range!
What the hell's going on, "Alan"? If that really is your name... it's impossible to be sure...
