An excellent video by the Stanland channel on youtube.
My own thoughts? It's either Dobby, April or
possibly Stephanie. Generally, though, I think Mark's basic dysfunctionality eventually gets in the way.
Stanland's review of
Series One.
Series one was raw in comparison to even the second series (and definitely later ones), still exploring its identity in terms of the characters, story lines and filming style, but there was something about it that kept me tuning in when it first went out. By the way, a comparison is drawn to IAP1 at around the 8 minute mark.
Who are the most horrible human beings in Peep Show? Mark and Jeremy did some reprehensible things pretty much from episode 1 onwards, but they have competition from the other characters.
My brother genuinely hates this show purely for the way it's filmed. If I ask him about it, the red mist comes down and he's off!

Take him somewhere with nice surroundings; flowers, coffee, sedatives. Maybe with music. Not too jaunty, melancholy music. (Obligatory Peep Show quote.)
Actually I accepted the POV style and use of the internal monologue from the start. I mean, it was on Channel 4 post-watershed, so it had to be weird by default, anyway. :D
I also like the look of the earlier series, before it went too slick and HD. It fits in with the downbeat nature of the El Dude Brothers' lives.
Stanland is back, he's here to say some more WORDS.
A Stanland review of the second series, which Peep Show might not have secured were it not for Ricky Gervais's public praise of the first one.
Peep Show debuted on this date (and day of the week) in 2003. Yeah, that's it. Gbye.

By pure coincidence, on the same day 50 years ago Fawlty Towers opened its doors to guests.
