James Bond fanatic locked up in secure hospital after decade-long stalking of 007 chief
A James Bond fan who led a "relentless and disturbing" decade-long stalking campaign against movie producer Barbara Broccoli, has been handed an indefinite hospital order. Daniel Wilson bombarded his terrified victim with hundreds of menacing emails, messages and voice notes during a decade-long campaign of terror - which forced Ms Broccoli to abandon her family home of 20 years and move to a secret new location. The obsessed 37-year-old left an audio message on Ms Broccoli's mobile phone on Valentine's Day last year in which he sang 'I've got murder on my mind' repeatedly, breaching a previously imposed restraining order.
Wilson, who last year yelled out in court "James Bond cannot be dead" admitted stalking involving serious alarm or distress between April 1 2022 to February 14 2025, as well as two charges of breaking the ban on contacting Ms Broccoli which was first imposed in 2017.
