What are your favourite comedies? Here's a short list of mine.

Blackadder
Red Dwarf
The Day Today
Third Rock From The Sun
News Radio
The Office (US)

Including Partridge in his various permutations, the comedies I have on rotation are:

Laurel and Hardy
Peep Show
The Office (original)
Fawlty Towers
Rising Damp

Also love The Fast Show, Monty Python, Some Mothers (first two series) and most of the Carry On series.

I always struggle with this, but - not including Alan Partridge I could go on and on and on - I've not included Human Remains, The Fast Show, Peep Show, The Royle Family, OFAH, Porridge, Inbetweeners and many other great comedies. And I'm sure I'll have missed glaringly obvious ones below too - and still my list is TWELVE deep...:

People Just Do Nothing
Detectorists
The Thick of It
Father Ted
Red Dwarf
This Country
Derek
The Office (UK)
Nighty Night
Camping
Blackadder
Inside No. 9

Veep
Avenue 5

I loved Smack the Pony. Used to watch it on Channel 4 on Friday evenings before I knew Doon Mackichan and Sally Philips had been in IAP and The Day Today. It has also aged well.

I like the old British comedies. This would be my Top 10:

1) Only Fools & Horses
2) Duty Free
3) Fawlty Towers
4) On the Buses
5) Open All Hours
6) Some Mother's Do Ave Em
7) Desmond's
8) Steptoe and Son
9) In Sickness and in Health
10) Mind Your Language

There are plenty of others that I enjoy and many US sitcoms also.
