Part #1: Wagon Wheels

For a chap who would later claim to be against "American things", it's interesting that Alan bought a load of Wagon Wheels for his 'Afternoon'. Why not Ginger Nuts or Hobnobs? That's more like Tex behaviour!

I was going to say Bourbon biscuits but immediately the thought 'No French' came to mind.

Hobnobs were only invented in the 90s, weren't they? Ginger Nuts are a bit of a standard biscuit compared to a Wagon Wheel though. Your Wagon Wheel's more of a celebration. Bring them out on birthdays and First Holy Communions maybe. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I quite fancy a chocolate hobnob now.

At least he didn't offer his guests Klondike Pete's Crunchy Nuggets (Golden Nuggets). That really would have been pushing it.
